Questions, answered.
What do the three Tunary apps do?
Tunary Library connects your account and brings creations to your computer. Tunary Instrument plays your self-playing instruments. Tunary Player changes sound with your audio effects. The free installer includes all three.
What is a plugin?
A tool that runs inside your music app. An instrument makes sound. An effect changes sound that is already playing. Your creations open inside the Tunary players.
Where do I download the installer?
Click Install Tunary Player in the top menu. Choose your computer and read the requirements. Install Tunary before adding a creation to your music app.
Can I try creating before I install?
Yes. You can make, hear and save creations on the website first. You need the free installation to use them in your music app.
Must I install something for every new creation?
No. Install Tunary once and connect your account. Add each creation from the website. You may need to update the Tunary apps from time to time.
Where will my creation appear?
Open Tunary Instrument or Tunary Player in your music app. Your creation appears inside it, under its own name. Each creation does not add a separate plugin to your music app’s list.
Can I work without the internet?
Yes, for up to 30 days after a successful licence check, unless your licence or computer access ends sooner. Open Library while online before you go offline. If permission expires, sound can stop until you reconnect. Your saved project is kept. Keep audio backups for important performances.
Will changing my creation change an old song?
Your music project keeps the version you saved with it. A newer version does not replace it on its own. You choose when to load the update.
How do I use a creation I bought from a maker?
Install Tunary and make your own verified account. Open the seller’s Tunary buying link, pay through their Gumroad checkout using the same email, then return to check your purchase. Connect Library to bring it to your computer. No extra credits or selling subscription needed. If you already have a private code, use Add your purchase.
Someone sent me a creation file. Is that enough?
No. You also need permission to use it, linked to your own account. Ask the maker for the proper access code. Never use another person’s password.

Pick a starting sound. Click Explore sounds. The left side has instruments that play their own music. The right side has effects that change a recording. Click Argish Ensemble on the left. This is a preset: a ready-made sound you can change and make your own.
Listen, then change one sound. Press Play. Click the Ensemble sound block. Its controls open on the right. Move Brightness down and listen: this makes that sound darker and softer. Move it up for a brighter sound. Try one control at a time so you can hear what it changes.
Change how it looks. Click Faceplate. That means the front panel of your instrument. Choose Dark metal and watch the panel change. These built-in finishes are free. To add your own picture, choose Your image. That optional upgrade costs fifty credits once for this creation.
Name it and save it. Click the name and type your own. We have called this one My Midnight Ensemble. Click Save. Open My creations to find it again. Click Continue editing whenever you want to change it. Making changes yourself and saving are free.
Try an audio effect. Now try an effect. Open Explore sounds and choose Afterglow on the right. An effect needs sound to work on. Here, Plucked notes is the example recording. Press Play to hear it. Click Your audio to choose another recording.
Add more echo. Click Delay. Delay adds echoes. Move Mix up to make the echoes louder. Click On to switch this delay off for a moment. Listen to the difference. Click it again to bring the echoes back. You are only switching this effect, not the whole sound.
Use your creation in a song. Save your creation. Click Use in my music software. This reminder asks about sending notes to other instruments and following your song speed. Add those options if you want them, or continue with your current settings. Connect your installed Tunary apps before confirming the two hundred credit unlock.

Questions, answered.
Do I need to write code or read music?
No. Start with a preset and listen while you change its controls. A self-playing instrument makes its own notes. You choose its sound and look.
Why can’t I hear my effect?
An effect needs sound to change. In the browser, choose a recording and press Play. In your music app, put Tunary Player on a track with sound playing through it.
What do the wires do?
They show where sound goes. Drag a sound’s wire to Path A or Path B to use those effects. Choose the direct path to skip them. Output effects change the sounds after they join together.
What are MIDI output and tempo sync?
MIDI output sends notes to another instrument; it does not send recorded sound. Tempo sync makes your creation follow your music app’s speed. The two options cost 30 credits together, once per creation. Turn on the ones you want in MIDI & sync.
Do I have to use AI?
No. You can build everything by hand. AI is an optional helper. Tell it one clear change, such as “Add a quiet, high, sparkling bell.” Each completed request costs 5 credits. Listen to the result and keep it only if you like it.
How do I turn off the tips?
Open Settings in the top menu and change your hint preference. You can also change preview preferences there.
How do I change or reset my password?
If you are signed in, open Settings and choose the password option. If you cannot sign in, click Forgot password on the sign-in form and follow the email.

Open your credit balance. Click your credit balance at the top of the page. This opens your wallet. Credits pay for the actions you choose, such as unlocking a creation or asking AI for help. Making changes yourself, playing and saving are free. Gift and promotional credits work the same way as bought credits.
Choose a pack. Choose two hundred credits for ten U.S. dollars, or five hundred credits for twenty-five U.S. dollars. The wallet shows how many credits you are adding and what your balance will be after payment. Check both before you continue.
Pay, then return to Tunary. Click Continue to checkout. Gumroad, our payment service, opens in a payment window. Use the same email as your Tunary account. Check the total, including any tax, before paying. Come back to Tunary and check your balance. If credits are missing, choose Already paid and follow the steps.
Know the costs before you click. Unlocking one creation costs two hundred credits once. Later changes and personal downloads of that same creation are included. MIDI and tempo sync cost thirty credits once. Your own panel pictures cost fifty credits once. AI help costs five credits each time it completes a request. You see the price before you pay.

Questions, answered.
What can I do for free?
Make changes by hand, listen, save, and return to your saved creations. Installing Tunary is also free. You choose when to spend credits.
Can all my credits pay for anything?
Yes. Bought, trial and promotional credits can all pay for any action priced in credits. Selling subscriptions are paid in money, separately.
What can I do with 500 credits?
For example: unlock two creations for 400 credits and use 20 completed AI requests for 100 credits. Or unlock one creation for 200, add MIDI & sync for 30 and your own image for 50, leaving 220 credits.
Do I pay 200 credits every time I change something?
No. Pay once for that creation. Later manual changes and personal downloads are included. Each new AI request still costs 5 credits. Optional upgrades have their own one-time price. A separate creation needs its own unlock.
Do I pay again to change my panel picture?
No. The 50-credit image upgrade covers future image changes for that same creation. An active selling subscription also includes custom image access.
What if the AI request fails?
A technical failure is not charged. A completed request costs 5 credits, even if you decide not to use its result.
Do subscriptions come with credits?
No. A selling subscription pays for selling permission and branding. You buy credits separately.
I paid, but my credits are missing. What do I do?
Return to your wallet and refresh the balance. Choose Already paid if the purchase has not appeared. Use your receipt to recover it or ask Tunary for help. Never send your password or full card details.
Sell your creations
Choose a plan, set up your product, and give each buyer their own access.
You make it. Gumroad takes the payment. Tunary delivers it.
Your buyer pays through your own Gumroad account. Tunary checks that they paid and adds your creation to their Tunary account.
Your selling subscription is a separate payment to Tunary: US$30 a month or US$300 a year. Credits are separate too.

Before your first sale
- Finish and test your creation. Install Tunary Player, unlock your creation for 200 credits and try it in your music app.
- Choose your selling plan. Open “Sell your plugin”, read the seller agreement, then subscribe. Choose the creation, add your brand and save its selling settings.
- Connect your Gumroad. Open Set up my shop and click “Connect my Gumroad”. Approve the connection on Gumroad. Do this once.
- Create a product in your Gumroad account. Set your price. Say that the creation needs the free Tunary Player. Include the installation link, computer requirements and your refund policy.
- Match the two. Back in Tunary, select your creation and its Gumroad product. Click “Link these two”.
- Share your Tunary buying link. Put it on your website or social posts. It takes buyers through sign-in before payment.
?What happens after someone pays?
They return to the buying page and click “I’ve paid — check my purchase”. Tunary verifies the payment with Gumroad and adds the creation. They connect the same account in Tunary Library to bring it to their computer.
You do not make a code for every buyer. Your buyer does not need credits or a selling subscription.
?Who receives the money?
You receive your product sales through your own Gumroad account, subject to Gumroad’s fees and payout rules. Tunary does not collect these sales. Tunary receives payment for its own selling plans and credit packs.
?What if the purchase does not appear?
Check that the buyer used the same email for Gumroad and Tunary. Give payment confirmation a moment, then check again. If the emails differ, contact the seller with the receipt. Do not pay a second time.
?What if I cancel my selling plan?
You may sell until the time you paid for ends. After that, Tunary stops new checkout links and new activations. Remove your Gumroad listings yourself: Tunary cannot stop someone paying through a separate Gumroad link.
Buyers who already activated keep their purchases. You keep personal use of your creations. Finish outstanding orders before your plan ends; otherwise renew or refund those buyers.
Read the full seller agreement →?Does my buyer get a separate plugin?
They choose Tunary Instrument or Tunary Player in their music app, then choose your creation by its own name inside it. Tell buyers this before they pay.
?I already sent someone a private code
They can still use Add your purchase for the older manual delivery process. New shop links use payment verification instead.
Questions, answered.
What do I get for subscribing?
Permission to sell your eligible creations, your own brand and artwork on their front panels, and a way to give each buyer access through their own account. Both plans have the same benefits. You choose your store and prices.
Do I need a subscription to release songs?
No. You can use your valid personal creations to make and sell music. You need the selling subscription when you sell the instrument or effect itself. You must also have the rights to any sounds or artwork you add.
How much is the subscription?
US$30 each month, or US$300 each year in one payment. Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Credits, your store’s fees and any applicable taxes are separate.
Where do people buy my creation?
In your own Gumroad account. Connect it in Set up my shop, match a Gumroad product to your Tunary creation, and share the Tunary buying link. Your buyer signs in, pays you on Gumroad and returns to check the purchase. Tunary verifies the sale and adds it to their account. You handle customer questions and refunds.
What must I tell buyers before they pay?
They need the free Tunary players, their own verified account, a supported computer and internet access for setup and occasional licence checks. Tell them what you tested, the full price, delivery time, refund rules and how to contact you. Link the installation guide.
Does each buyer need to subscribe or pay 200 credits?
No. They pay your Gumroad product’s price. A verified purchase gives them access without a selling subscription or another 200-credit unlock.
Will my product have its own plugin installer?
No. Buyers install Tunary once. Your personally named creation appears inside Tunary Instrument or Tunary Player, with your front-panel design. Explain this clearly in your listing.
Can I replace the Tunary name with my brand?
Yes, on your creation’s front panel while subscribed. The shared Tunary apps, licence checks and legal notices keep their Tunary name. Do not describe the player software as your own.
What happens when I cancel?
Normal cancellation stops the next payment. Selling continues until the period you paid for ends. Then you must stop taking orders. Tunary blocks new buyer codes and first activations. Your own valid personal use continues.
Do existing buyers lose their purchase?
No. Buyers who already activated a valid purchase keep access when your subscription ends. They still follow their own account and licence rules. An unused code cannot activate after your selling permission ends; renew to deliver that order or refund the buyer.
Can Tunary close my shop for me?
No. Tunary stops its buying links and new activations when your plan ends. A direct Gumroad listing can still take payments, so you must remove it and stop taking orders yourself.
Can people just share the file?
A copied file alone does not give another account permission to play it. Tunary checks the user, computer and licence. No system can make all copying impossible or instantly switch off a computer that is offline.
How do I cancel the monthly or yearly payment?
Open your Gumroad receipt or membership account and choose Manage membership. Cancel before renewal and keep the confirmation. Closing Tunary or switching off a creation does not cancel your payment plan.
What if I refund a buyer?
Handle the refund in your store. If their Tunary access needs to be reviewed, contact Tunary with the order and licence details. A store refund does not automatically cancel their Tunary access.
